Foster Care and Adoption
"A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation." Psalm 68:5
I've always had a passion for young people, especially those who have experienced hurt and trauma. I know from my own personal walk that childhood and the teen years can be the toughest, especially when we endure trials and hardships.
After going through the application process for adoption through foster care, I was more convinced than ever that God was calling me to something far beyond just adoption. In fact, it became my greatest inspiration to begin writing.
Far too many young people endure trauma, neglect, and abuse. Over 400,000 children are in the U.S. Foster Care system alone. Many never know what it is to have a loving, safe family, let alone ever see their true worth and potential in life. I think it's time we take a stand and reach out to these young people.

Whether you just want to know how you can make a difference, or you are interested in becoming a foster parent or adoptive parent, I hope you glean some information before you leave. Also, feel free to contact me any time for more information. My husband and I are still navigating the process ourselves and realize it can be a bit complex and confusing. I'm always happy to hear from you!
